Bitcoin has a problem

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Miners rapidly shift from BTC blockchain to BCC/BCH blockchain. Currently every minute about two new blocks are added to the BitcoinCash blockchain. The anonymous miner is still mining but in the past 12 hours major BTC miners such as BTC.TOP, BTC.COM, F2Pool, Bitcoin.com and Antpool have switched (part of) their hashing power to the BCC blockchain.

As a consequence the hashrate on the BTC blockchain has dropped. The past few hours it took on the average 20 minutes to create a new block. The number of transactions waiting to be confirmed is now well over 70000 and growing rapidly. Difficulty adjustment is required but that will take too much time!

I think BTC will have a serious problem if miners do not switch back. Difficulty on the BitcoinCash chain will increase in the coming hours. I am afraid however that miners will not switch back because the price of BCC will go up relative to BTC.

The flippening is coming!

OMG, I can't stand it!!! About 34 blocks until the difficulty adjustment and then we will know if miners who have switched are staying put with BCC or if they will go back.

Meanwhile, the BTC mempool is backed up with 10MB worth of transactions...

I am all in on BCH.
