Teenager (19) who became rich with bitcoin: “Your own debt if you are not a millionaire within 10 years”

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Erik Finman is a 19-year-old German rich in bitcoin. According to the teenager, despite the recent decline in cryptocurrencies, there are still opportunities to make a lot of money. “If you do not become a millionaire in the next ten years, that’s your own fault,” he says in an interview with Business Insider.

When he was 12, Erik Finman received $ 1,000 from his grandmother. Money that served to study later. However, he started a bet with his parents: if he could convert the $ 1,000 for his 18th birthday into one million, he would not have to go to university. With the help of his big brother, he invested his first 1,000 dollars in bitcoins. In the meantime, Erik is 19 years old and a millionaire. He moved to Silicon Valley.

Yet he thinks that it is still possible to get rich with crypto coins. But not necessarily with bitcoin, because that coin is now “slow, outdated and not sustainable”. He does, for example, still see future in Ripple, Ethereum, Litecoin and especially Monero. “I love this crypto because it has good applications”, it sounds.

The price of the monero increased even faster in the last few months than that of the bitcoin. The trade in bitcoins uses blockchain technology, which means that all transactions - the exact time and amount - both channel and receiver - are known. That is anything but reassuring for criminals. The monero, created in 2014, uses false addresses and false amounts to mask who is exactly behind the transactions. Even though analysts believe that the majority of users still act in good faith.
