I lost everything because of the TBIS token hack.
I know i'll probably catch flak for this but i just need to vent a little bit. I started cryptocurrency around November; right before it made a huge run up to $20,000; i was absolutely amazed by this space. I had never really done any investing or anything of the sorts; i threw $100 in and started to research TA, alt coins and anything else i could get my hands on. I remember buying 25,000 Tron when it was less than a penny. I sold it off because i was a noob watching 1 minute charts and the first red candle scared me. It's kind of funny looking back on it now because i was literally sleeping next to the computer watching Binance 1 minute charts. I saw IOTA go from pennies to $4, the excitement i felt was like nothing i've ever felt before. It was amazing, life was good. When Tron fell from it's glory i bought back in $500 worth at $0.18 during what i thought was a "dip"; no stop losses set, i just bought it and forgot about it. Somewhere in that time i found Titanium (BAR) ICO. I invested $250 into it during the ICO phase and then after that i just continued to buy more as the weeks went on; over the last month or so i've accumulated over 1,200 BAR tokens. The team seemed amazing and i honestly felt like this opportunity could change the infrastructure space as a whole. However, as some of you may know TBIS was hacked yesterday for 16,000,000 tokens and the hacker then proceeded to dump those tokens onto the market taking the price from $1 down to pennies. I know people say you should'nt put all your eggs into one basket but i was simply building a portfolio, i hadn't diversified yet. My game plan was to continue to invest into TBIS until i had around 2,500 tokens by slowly grabbing more as i got paid each week, then branch out into other coins. I'm just sitting here trying to figure out what to do at this point as i've never felt so betrayed or hurt by this whole situation. I no longer have a portfolio, i no longer have anything in crypto to continue on with this venture; it just doesn't make much sense to me at this point.
To top it all off; i was the person that told TBIS about the suspicious transactions and had the admins look into it; so in theory i was the one that caught the hack in the first place. I just hope things get better is all, i still have faith in the team - i don't know why anymore but maybe i'm just trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Would just be nice to catch a break at this point.
