Tin foil hat moment

What if the price drops in the past few weeks are correlated to the existence of Bitcoin futures contracts? If I were a shady puppetmaster making the plays here I'd make sure the market moved in a bearish direction and then after the contract expires I'd dump money back into Bitcoin.

Well...it's a good thing I'm not a conspiracy theorist. Just something to think about.
