I would be happy if China stopped Bitcoin Miners!!!
Quebec is a province in Canada with vast hydroelectric capacity. It has a stable government, in a nation which has established the earnings from Bitcoins are capital gains (taxed at roughly 8%) and has an energy surplus. Additionally one of the Hydroelectric projects is at La Grande Rivière (53.8393° N, 78.9886° W).
At La Grande Rivière Airport, the summers are cool and mostly cloudy and the winters are short, frigid, snowy, windy, and overcast. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from -26°C to 20°C (-16°F to 69°F) and is rarely below -35°C or above 26°C ( -31°F or above 79°F).
Another attraction for Bitcoin miners is the price of electricity ranges between 2.48 cents (in USD) per kilowatt hour, and 3.94 cents per kilowatt-hour.
When ever i hear about these things happening in China, i find it akin to north Korea. The government of China puts a lot of restrictions on its citizens. Treats them as slave.
QUEBEC:
Looks like Quebec has mining friendly environment. I am paying 14 cents for my electricity. At 2.48 and 3.94 the electricity there is a goldmine.
There seem to be two forces in conflict in the world Capitalism vs Communism. In one case individuals accumulate more and more power until they can dictate what the rest of the people can do. The other case is exactly the opposite ... individuals accumulate more and more power until they can dictate what the rest of the people can do.
But this have effect on Cryptos price. I will suggest they should just introduce stricter measures
If China stops miners, the difficulty level will drop. The price of cryptos has little to do with the production side. It has to do with the value that people have for a particular coin vs fiat currencies.
Ok Thank you for enlightening me more. I now understand.
