When will Bitcoin hit $100,000 USD?

Short answer: If the trend since bitcoin began continues, it will hit $100k as early as next year, and almost certainly by 2022.

Explanation

The current chart (at the orange arrow) looks reminiscent of the 2014 correction which lasted over 2 years:

The 2014 moving-average crossover signal has recurred, making a longer correction seem likely, and would place the next leg up around 2022.

But what if it's a shorter correction? Things ARE moving faster for cryptocurrencies now than they were a few years ago. Global events (war, economic turmoil, false flags, etc) in 2018 may accelerate the current bounce. If Bitcoin finds support above the moving averages soon (stays well above $10k), then a move to $100k within one year is favoured:

Obviously, these are only educated guesses about what MAY happen. Bitcoin is volatile, unpredictable, and very much "in play", as are all the cryptocurrencies. It wouldn't surprise me to see 100k in 2019 and 1 million within a few years. Steem will also do well as the greater market recovers and makes new highs.
