New Bitcoin Core cryptocurrency takes advantage of deceptive advertising against Bitcoin

A new cryptocurrency named bitcoin core (BTCC) has been released on Monday May 28, in what seems an attempt to counteract and take advantage of the deceptive advertising strategy developed by the Bitcoin Cash team.

In the official page of this new project known as Bitcoin Core, it is defined as a Bitcoin bifurcation whose vision is to "flatter" the original cryptocurrency and coexist along with its blockchain. In fact, in the social network Twitter it is remarkable the amount of support that this project is receiving from the bitcoiner community.

Bitcoin Core, in addition to being the same name that carries the most popular client software in the Bitcoin network, used by 94% of its users, is also the name with which bitcoin (BTC) was referred to in the campaign of misleading advertising launched by the promoters of Bitcoin Cash. One aspect that seems to be taking advantage of the Bitcoin Core developer team to receive greater attention and acceptance in the ecosystem.

It should be noted that in November 2017, Bitcoin Cash, a project created through a Bitcoin fork, also suffered a bifurcation that gave rise to another cryptocurrency called Bitcoin Clashic. Precisely, the team in charge of Bitcoin Clashic is the one that is behind the development and promotion of the Bitcoin Core initiative; The cryptocurrency, the BTCC, is already quoted at two exchange houses: Crypto Bridge and Bisq, and has its own portfolio and mining pool. According to its official website, the BTCC has a current value of $ 6.69, although during the day yesterday it recorded prices around $ 16.86.

Within the bitcoiner community the name of BCash is usually given to Bitcoin Cash, in an effort to differentiate it from Bitcoin. In this regard, last week, the Purse.io online shopping platform launched an implementation software for Bitcoin Cash that is also called BCash. This fact could be interpreted by some as an effort to separate the BCash term from the bitcoin cash cryptocurrency (BCH); so, in the same way, the launch of the new bitcoin core cryptocurrency could be taken as a response in the same style to that initiative.

A month ago, a group of members of the bitcoiner community prepared a lawsuit to take legal action against bitcoin.com, the property owned by Roger Ver from where a deceptive advertising scheme was launched against Bitcoin. The pressure on the part of this community was such that, a few days later, the information indicated as deceptive was removed from the web portal.
