Ripple Overtakes Ethereum As Bitcoin's Bloodbath Continues

Bitcoin, ripple, and ethereum continued to fall today following yesterday's bloodbath, with bitcoin down almost 3% on the last 16 hours.
Ripple overtook Ethereum as the world's second largest cryptocurrency this has happened number of times over recent months as ethereum and ripple fight for dominance.

Bitcoin remains the world's largest cryptocurrency by market capital by a considerable total market value of $95.6 billion, compared to ripple and ethereum's which around $18 billion.
Ripple has outperformed the wider cryptocurrency market over the last 24 hours, dropping by under 10% compared to many other major cryptocurrencies 15% falls, due to its association with the established financial industry.
