I think I might have shared my favorite bumper sticker from around these parts, but here it goes again:

Seems sadly true, in a LOT of places. The best way to control a population is to make sure they remain as ignorant as possible... preferably trapped in a stupor of "reality" TV and daytime talk shows about people who were raised by schools of sea horses.
