The Alt-Coin Bargain Hunt Has Begun!steemCreated with Sketch.

It looks like the move to the alt-coins while BitCoin works out its rebound has started

I see that a few of them are beyond the 20% gain in Dollars.

And others are doing even better against the BTC.

Two of my holdings, Cardano and Einstenium look to be making good progress. I know that Cardano is already past my buy in price, so that is good. I think Einstenium has a way to go, but this looks promising to me. Not shown in the list, but even Stellar Lumens has broken positive.

One of the coins I suggested in my article [What Coin to Invest in After The BitCoin Profit Taking is Done?], Bitbay is stil down. It looks like the volume on the exchanges is very low for the coin. It probably won't head back up until BitCoin itself regains all of its losses and heads further up.

Do your own research, I'm just a guy writing on a cryptocurrency blog site.

Tip: With the last spike of Steem Dollars (SBD) to $3 I studied what the whales were doing and this is what I learned..... When SBD is really high compared to Steem they go to Market (using Steemit Wallet under Steem Dollar) and they trade their SBD to Steem. For example if SBD is at $2 and Steem is at $1 they trade $100 of SBD for $200 of Steem ..... When the prices come back together - Say SBD is $1.02 and Steem is .99 cents they switch back.... When SBD spikes again they do the SBD to Steem Trade again ..... They trade expensive SBD for cheap Steem. They did this a few times in the last 2 weeks and made 100%, 50 %, 40 % returns each time they traded SBD for Steem.... So I am going to do the same thing.https://steemit.com/steemit/@offgridlife/steem-price-dropping-now-at-93-cents

Good luck.

I tend to disagree with this style of investing, I think the mentality of trying to grab the Tiger by the tail is a key factor in why many investors get hurt in Crypto Trading.. Why not just be really good trading what you know inside and out..

@pawsdog

Reporting back: I made 41 % this morning already (You can see my wallet) Traded 1 SBD for $1.41 of Steem - Now I need to make sure I always have some Free SBD and Steem to trade back and forth. This is the best way to do it since there are no Exchange costs or fees when you do it all within Steemit.

I spent all my SBD buying BTC to do the trading. LOL

I just can't imagine being at the point that I would have a significant amount of STEEM or Steem Dollars sitting around and not putting them into Steem POWER.

I am going to keep about $ 100 in SBD to move back and forth and see how I do and move the rest to Steem Power. This way I will be able to tell what % I go up each day, week, month on that initial $100 - switching from SBD to Steem. If I can make $40 % a day I will be very happy.

Wow, and here I was just converting everything to Steem Power all the time!

I am also earning a little extra Bitcoin with EarnCrypto - watching short Movie reviews and taking Surveys .... an extra $10 of Bitcoin always helps ... You can also mean some extra Steem Dollars or Steem .... https://www.earncrypto.com/earn-free-bitcoin/?r=94125

How much can you make with that a day? And if it's a small amount, isn't it useless since the transaction fees will eat it all?

So was I - that is important too .... Try to get to $1,000 Steem Power so that your upVotes are worth at least 10 cents - that way you can reward yourself with at least $1 a day ($30/mo) .... you can trade SBD to Steem as a way of getting to $1,000 Steem power as quickly as you can.

Every time I send SBD or Steem through an exchange (Blocktrades, Bittrex etc) I get hammered on fees. So not going to do that anymore.

Welp, ya gotta get the BTC somehow, since there isn't any Steem pairing on most exchanges.

I will buy $20 of BTC whenever I see a nice 30-40 % drop - using cash and not Steem.

The last time i transferred $30 SBD to buy BTC through Blocktrades the "Miners" took $17 and gave me $13 of Bitcoin. That's the last time I trade SBD for Bitcoin.

I don't recall if there was a charge to put STEEM and SBD into my Bittrex wallet. There is a trading charge of 0.25%

So you were able to trade $10 of SBD and received $10 worth of Bitcoin ? Maybe I should start using Bittrex.

Well, I was able to load my $20 of SBD into my Bittrex wallet and buy BTC at the BTC to SBD rate, which is not exactly 1 to 1. And the fee was taken out in the transaction, so I put the amount I wanted to sell for BTC and the price, the fee was calculated and I got the BTC .

I'll check into it later, when I have access to log into my Bittrex account. The transactions are there, so I should know all the details.

I bought BTS on the Bitshares exchange. I send LTC via a Bridge to get the BTS. Over 6% fees!! Next time I will just buy them on Binance. Lesson learned. I was thinking that decentralized exchanges were cheaper than regular ones. I was wrong.

They all charge you a ton in Fees ... makes good old fiat Bank fees look cheap.

It has been a long time since I've seen an article hit over a few bucks for no reason.

Thank you for the upvote! Whoever you were!

People looking what to do when the market moves is a good enough reason!

True.
Just surprised to see such a generous upvote. And Thankful for it.

I find some of my most random posts get Huge up-Votes like that .... It is really strange. So now I post anything.

LOL. That's funny man :)

I personally wonder if the right strategy is just to buy all the coins on Poloniex while they are red and see what happens!

If you have that kind of coin.

But, it would probably be best to try and bet on the handful that will rise quicker than the rest in order to gain the most in the shortest amount of time.

How do you feel about buying steem? or do you prefer to just earn it?

I see no point in buying it unless you want to increase your Steem POWER.
It fluctuates, but not often and not enough to make some great earnings off of it (unless you were the whale that manipulated the spike).

So, in an idea situation in which I had made enough in other purchases to have the needed BTC amount.

  • I would purchase 100,000 STEEM (since it is cheaper) and then convert it directly to Steem POWER.
  • Then I would post 4 articles (of not particular high quality or anything) a day and upvote myself 100% at 100% power on each of those posts.
  • I would possibly find 6 other articles that my upvote would cause a Trend on and upvote them as well.
  • Then at the end of each month, I would power down the earned Steem POWER and put it back into BTC for trading other stuff.

Until they fix the bot issue, I can't see STEEM or Steem Dollars getting above $5 anytime soon.

The bots piss me off...

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't it take quite a while to power down your steem?

There was a change made that lets you power down certain amounts at the interval. So, once you get started (based on the scenario above), you could see it as a regular income.

I think it is still 13 weeks for the Power Down.

Dean the Machine. Thanks for the info pal.

Thanks you man. You are not a hypocrite. Investing in crypto is a game.

The whole idea of STEEM and STEEMit is to make money from posting content. If someone wanted to shoot the shit, then there are plenty of free blog sites and communities to post stuff and get feedback without getting paid.

I just like being honest about it.

Heck, investing in general is like playing craps at the casino.

Do you have some stories with shitty coins? I invest 50$ in Flik - they said that they would burn 90% of their coins. I bought and next day price drops from 0.17 to 0.05.

Ouch!

No, I just got into active trading a few days ago. Made 125% on Cardano over night and jumped back in with twice the coin count. I probably should have waited, because my gut told me that BitCoin was going to do a pull back of $2000. You can check back in my articles in the last couple of days for that.

Good review, thanks for sharing.
