The Caribbean is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world with a friendly population waiting to ensure that each tourist have a good time. Its quite easy to catch the Caribbean fever, the kind of fever that does not go away and the one you hope you can enjoy forever. Well now, if you into cryptocurrencies and you want to enjoy your vacation and catch the Bitcoin Bull run, Bitcoin ATM machines are popping up throughout the Caribbean. Here is the list of islands where you can book your vacation and enjoy the comfort of purchasing some Bitcoin using a Bitcoin ATM.

Aruba

This is a popular and well known tourist destination. One of my favorite island and one that I know very well. Aruba is a tiny dutch island off the coast of Venezuela. Popular and well known places include Eagles Beach, California Lighthouse, Charlie's Bar and Arikok National Park. Aruba is known by travelers as one of the ABC (Aruba, Bonaire & Curacao) islands offering Sailing, Honeymoon, snorkeling and amazing cuisine.

Anguilla

This island is a favorite among the British tourist and ultra rich (yachts and private beaches). One of my favorites, it is one of the best places to be under the moonlight over looking the island of St Maarten. Well known spots include Rendezvous Bay, Dolphin Discovery, and Shoal Bay Beach.

The list of other islands include Dominican Republic with six (6) locations and Panama with five (5) location. With Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies meteoric rise of 2017 most of the islands government are starting to talk about digital currencies with Aruba and Barbados taking a proactive approach. Most of the policies drafted would be heavily dependent on the final word coming from the United States of America government as these islands strives to be compliant with all financial regulation they have to work with. Interesting enough, the tiny island of Bermuda is trying to become the hub of Initial Coin Offering (ICO's) with the government already drafting policies that is currently being presented in parliament.

If 2018 proves to be a successful year for cryptocurrencies and we better understand where the America government stands we can see all these islands jumping on board and I suspect some are just waiting on the green light to go ahead. One of the areas I see benefiting tremendous from the incorporation of cryptocurrencies would be the Tourism industry, hence the reason why I tried to capture some of the things that these islands offer. Currently properties are up for sale in Barbados with sellers seeking only Bitcoin as a payment.

While all these may spur growth within the region, the varying island governments would have to be very creative to capture any possible revenue stream as collecting taxes would be difficult from these cryptocurrencies related activities. Collecting taxes under the present fiat system is already depress in most cases, so we have to see how this situation develops.

As Bermuda makes moves to become the hub of Initial Coin Offering in the world, the next question we can ask ourselves as Steemian, could SteemFest 2018 and Bermuda be a perfect match with Steemit expected launch of Smart Media Tokens (SMT)?

These are the list of island where you can currently buy Bitcoin from the Bitcoin ATM in the Caribbean. I expect the list to grow as regulation is better understood and the appetite increase as islanders demand Bitcoin.

Great post. It's quite remarkable to watch all these Bitcoin ATMs mushrooming in every country in the world. All we need now is for more ATMs to start popping up across Africa.

Its coming, I feel alot of these countries specifically the banks and those wanting to bring the ATMs to those countries are trying to find banks to partner with and the banks themselves want to get on board its a matter of meeting the financial regulation set down by USA so that they don't risk any financial charges that could be labelled against them if specific rules are broken...

Sweet list!
I think this would be a perfect alternative for Moneygram for all the people who are trying to send money home, or receive money from family!
It might take a while before I get Sint Martin to put up a bitcoin machine here, but it would be a good thing also with all the mega yachts coming here.

No worry Anguilla has one, its only a matter of time...Aruba has one as well, so its only a matter of time
