What we have here are the stories of five alternatives to the current fiat currency system (the big evil). Realize that the stock market is also an alternative to the dollar. All five of these are currently valued against the dollar and the stock market has been around longer than the current fiat system and shares of the stock market at one time was purchased with gold. So take a look at each and use the noodles in your brain soup to figure this out for yourselves.
