You've missed the biggest selling points of Bitcoin:

• It's a lot cheaper to run than an international bank
• Banks can use it to hold other banks accountable and to protect themselves against banking cartels.
• It is a hedge against economic instability

On mass market adoption... well, few people want to be their own banks, and we don't have secure computers yet. We will soon...
