techcrunch.com article, written by Jonathan Shieber

The price of bitcoin seems to be on a fire sale right now, slumping to a low not seen in a while. But breaking the media and internet right now from sources of all sorts is that the state of Ohio is now accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment for corporate taxes. As this is just breaking, what do you think will happen to the price of bitcoin if this becomes a more mainstream idea? What are your thoughts on paying TAXES using crypto, seemingly making it an oxymoron? I would love to hear what YOU, the steemit community at large, have to say. The source by techcrunch is linked below the photo but for several other sources, I have linked them below.

Howdy sir csusbgeochem1! Wow I thought with those tags some experts would have shown up by now. I'm surprised to hear this news but it has to be good, that's a major step into legitimacy I would think don't you? It should be ineresting if you can keep track of how this plays out there..,.like how many people will pay with Bitcoin? Very good post sir!

Sorry for the late response I was traveling back home and have since unpacked. I agree with you on it being a major step. Its odd that it would come at a time when Bitcoin is at a low. And having a state be a large holder of bitcoin would be worrying. I will make sure to follow up on some statistics in the future. Thanks @janton!

Congratulations you won last weeks Mystery Photo Friday contest!
