Why You Should Invest in CryptoCurrencies in 2017

I am going to give you 4 reasons why you should immediately put 10% of your investment portfolio into CryptoCurrencies.

1. Holding dollars is insane! When you hold onto government issued paper money you are trusting a central bank to manage your money well. You may not think you are, but let me ask you a question...Who loses when the federal reserve decides to unleash a billion new dollars into the economy?? Answer - Everyone who holds dollars. Why? Because as the supply of something goes up, each existing unit goes down in value. This is why your great grandma will tell you she used to be able to buy a horse with a nickel...exaggerating but you get the point. Historically, holding onto dollars has proven to be a terrible way to store value.

2. Efficiency. Cryptos gets rid of the middle man. Right now when you buy something using a credit card, the business is paying roughly 3% to use the service. Of course, the business passes this cost onto you in the form of higher prices. My buddy owns a seafood joint. Let’s say this year he will charge $100,000 worth of purchases using credit cards. That means he is paying $3000 just to make the transactions! Using blockchain technology, Crypto’s cut out the middleman which leads to much lower transactions costs.

3. Security. Going back to the seafood joint for a moment. Let’s say someone comes in and orders some shrimp using a stolen credit card. The owner of the card sees the transaction and contacts Visa. Visa assures them that it's no big deal and the money has been replaced in their account. Did Visa eat this cost? Nope. The business owner is going to be stuck picking up this one and again, he will pass this cost along to customers in the form of higher prices. CryptoCurrencies are much more secure and they don’t rely on you having to place your trust in a 3rd party. When I swipe my credit card I am trusting that a third party will handle my information well. With cryptos the buyer deals directly with the seller which eliminates the risk of a third party mishandling information.

4. The value will go up. Right now Cryptocurrencies are exploding in value and we are just getting started. The common person still doesn’t understand the technology, and the only people who are involved in the space are speculators and techies. Recently some HUGE businesses have started getting involved in the space, which tells me that they understand where we are headed. People demand security, businesses want lower transaction fees and the world is tired of trusting central banks with the money supply. The shift is happening!
