I just heard the worst argument against blockchain/crypto currencies ever.

This one really takes the cake, i was having an argument with a guy who invests in stocks rather than crypto's, and the conversation inevitably jump into fiat currency noobs "Here's why bitcoin will eventually fail" but man i was not prepared for this level of retardation, so here goes.

We were talking about the block chain being a permanent piece of technology and I was explaining to him why Bitcoin won't be going away any time soon, of course being a fiat investor he wants bitcoin to fail, after 20 minute argument where he showed he obviously had no clue what the block chain is or how cryptos work he pulled out this fucking gem.

"Bitcoin could fail if there is a massive solar event and the resulting EMP wave would permanently fry the systems that the block chain is on deleting all your bitcoin forever".

I just sat there staring at him, the guy is a pretty decent investor, but Jesus Christ, on the level of retarded arguments iv'e heard(and I've heard a lot of them) I just didn't have anything to say, like i couldn't formulate a retort owing to the fact i wanted to just hit him.

If there is an event where a planet wide EMP occurs that manages to fry all global internet infrastructure i'm not going to be worrying about my fucking wallets since i'll probably be fighting over a can of beans in a super market somewhere, I know fiat investors are still skeptical off Crypto Currencies, but my god I never though i'd hear something like that in my life.

What's the worst argument you guys have heard? cause I really want to know if someone can top it.
