RE: BTC-E has been seized

in #bitcoin7 years ago

you got that right their seems to be a crack down on exchanges even if its out of their jurisdiction. Really scary! Check out my most recent post regarding btc-e. Btc-e vowed to return everyone's bitcoin however the us government has control over their domain and server. I was one of the victims.

wow man, sorry to hear that. Do you live in the americas then?

I live in Canada, not sure why btc-e would be as careless as to have their hosting in the US. The coins were dispersed and hopefully they have a mirror of the servers or a back up somewhere else so they can see all the accounts and refund appropriately but all of this is too speculative at the moment. Chances are very slim that any of us will retain what we lost.
