Verge (XVG) is previously known as DogeCoinDark, but they decided to rename the coin. Therefore, the project is not new, but you may not have heard of it before now. The purpose of Verge is to create a cryptocurrency that can work in everyday life. Unfortunately, Bitcoin does not. A transaction with Verge takes about 5 to 10 seconds, where Bitcoin takes a lot longer. The transaction fee on Verge is 0.1 XVG. XVG is the abbreviation of Verge, so if you need to find it inside an exchange, then search for it.

Advantages

The advantage of Verge is that it is much more anonymous than Bitcoin. Bitcoin can be traced back to some extent, and it is a problem for many. Therefore, a number of alternative currencies have been prepared to resolve the anonymity issue. Verge one of them. Verges blockchain is built on Tor and I2P, which protects your privacy (more specifically your IP address and location). Verge tries to compete with Monero, and if their Wraith Protocol is successful, one might imagine it becomes as anonymous as Monero. At the moment, however, Verge is not as anonymous as Monero. Verge, however, has much lower fees and faster transactions than Monero. Smart contracts are also something Verge can. Verge may well be one of the big cryptocurrencies one day - nobody knows, but it has the potential. Of course, this requires development of Verge.
