Join your Local Bitcoin/Crypto Meetup Group in 2018

Community is one of the most important parts of cryptocurrency. Rather than investing (and possibly losing) your money into the "next Bitcoin", I recommend investing your time into building connections as well as doing your own research. Gather real information from real people, find out what their excited about and invest your money into that.

Information overload is definitely occurring in the crypto space and my strategy is to know experts in mining, trading, ico investing etc and find out what projects they are most interested in.

Whenever I am in Raleigh, I make sure to attend the local bitcoin meetup that happens every Thursday at 6pm at Berkley Cafe. Very helpful group that are willing to talk to and answer questions whether your a complete noob or a blockchain expert.

I use www.meetup.com and craigslist to find groups, but if there isnt one in your area, YOU can create one. I think it's important to remember that there is no CEO or marketing department for BITCOIN. It's an open source and decentralized movement and that means you are responsible for bitcoin's success.
