The bear market won't end until all the leveraged longs and dip buyers get wiped out. People buy the dip and then put stop loss orders just below the lows. Whales push the price below the lows and that triggers a cascade of sell stops and margin liquidation which pushes the market lower. It won't end until everyone gives up hope and turns bearish. Then the bottom is in. Could be awhile.
