Bitcoin ETF, Security Tokens, Accredited Investors and More with Anthony Pompliano aka Pomp

in #bitcoin6 years ago

Today I'm joined by the man, the myth, the legend, Pomp, aka Anthony Pompliano, to talk about all the latest in the world of crypto. We had a chance to discuss the Bitcoin ETF and why he wrote a letter to the SEC, Digital Securities/Security Tokens, why the Accredited Investor standards in the US are broken, a recent investment Morgan Creek made in CityBlock Capital and much more. Hope you enjoy this discussion!

Love to see these interviews so thanks for bringing them to us. I really haven’t thought about the concepts mentioned on accreditation for investors but I think an excellent idea would be to require a license or course to become accredited based on knowledge or delegating them to an investment advisor who would be responsible for the advice provided according to the suitability of the investment.

Bring the minimum investments down. If I have to put up a million, that's a very different story than putting down $500-1000.

Hi, great post, worth a follow. Looking forward to some more of your stuff.

Lol, okay internetz

Interesting discussion. I do think his assertion that the wallet is the entry point is not quite correct. It's an obvious destination somewhere along the road, particularly once you start securing your own assets, simply because you can't go to it like a bank at an ATM and drop cash into it. You sort of can do that with exchanges, in a manner of speaking. The cash to crypto moment of exchange is the entry point, sure that takes a wallet on the exchange, but I understand what he's saying. In the future, it would be interesting if you could just immediately drop in cash to say an @Exodus wallet, since they do as a wallet already have an exchange functionality to a bunch of coins. Maybe it's sort of semantics?

Thanks for the vid @cryptobobby
