Personally I'm not big fan of TA. I've learned that in theory TA is taking human psychology into consideration, however my impression is that most of the time it is very opposite.
I wonder if others here do believe in TA the way I do (not that much) or would they have different opinions.
Also one thing I would like to notice: crypto industry isn't ready for another bull run. I think that repeating 2017 anytime soon would be devastating for this market.
We need more regulations, more transparency with taxes and more trust. We do not have any of it right now and for that reason I wouldn't expect that crypto would attract many new investors anytime soon.

I consider that TA cause great stress to crypto users. There are people who take up a large part of their lives to monitor the graphs and often make very subjective assumptions.
very true. but it's important to consider trading for yourself, a profession to earn/save etc or a hobby!
Roger Federer and I both play Tennis; I pay to play, he gets very well paid to play!
if it's a profession, then it worth the stress. that's my point

thanks peter, I didn't say we will have a bull run, a major fluctuation is probable. I do agree many ppl don't believe in TA; I do but I don't like it so much too!
predictions are useless most of the time... but don't ignore the charts at all, if your crypto assets are important for you.
crypto world nowadays lack real insight info on the fundamentals I believe, so the importance of technicals get a bit bolder.

TA exists because of self fulfilling prophecies. As long as there are enough people believing in the pattern and trade based on that, the pattern will be formed. I didn't believe in it previously, but my exposure to crypto got me into studying it.
I am not an expert, but now I use TA to determine better entry prices for investments that I find fundamentally sound
