China Mining Illegal? | UK Threatens BitConnect | BTG Scam?

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Wow never a dull day in crypto huh?
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/7cv2e9/bitcoin_mining_crackdown_in_china_might_be_the/
While this may seem more scanadolous at first, we have some clarification on the matter. At the end of the day this will mean a higher cost for electricity, leveling the playing field a bit.
CoinDesk pretty much rubbishes the rumours: https://www.coindesk.com/state-owned-power-provider-denies-chinese-bitcoin-mining-ban-rumors/ So most likely the most action we will actually see is a potential increase in electricity for the Chinese miners.

This is an interesting image: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/7csrmk/a_most_wanted_money_launder_a_pathological_liar/ Toasting to their success. The face of a coin. Boxmining made a good video about this, about moving away from Satoshi. It’s important that a cypher punk movement about freedom from the man doesn’t replace one man for another, ya know? Just my opinion on it. Even if you don’t think that’s what’s happening here, some people are getting that impression, which is a negative one in this space.

Here’s how you buy the dip: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-11-13/mysterious-bitcoin-dip-buyer-identified Famed wall street investor. $15 to $20 million dollars worth of BTC during the dip. This is a man who was already mega rich, but made an absolute killing buying Ethereum.

Don’t be like this badger/racoon thing:

Use technical analysis!
We can see here the classic TA of the breakoutasaurus for Ethereum: My word document underlined that term, thinking it was a typo. How stupid. https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/7cr9h2/no_better_ta_than_a_dinosaur_ta/ According to what you can see here, Ethereum is going up.

Everyone and their grand mother (not literally) has weighed in on the BitConnect debate, including Vitalik Buterin, but now the UK government has too. https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2017/11/13/bitcoin-bitconnect-uk-ponzi-investment/

More Bitcoin Gold scams? A pre-mine was not enough. https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/7cnj9w/bitcoin_gold_scam_developers_caught_with_putting/ This kind of stuff won’t last, the market will mature, but slowly, I guess. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-gold/ Remember though that Ivan on Tech’s Bitcoin Bronze fork, not a joke, is different. He needs to pre-mine a million coins for legitimate reasons. He’s truly making Bitcoin great again.
That video was so funny, I’ll leave a link to it below. It had me going at the start because the dude is a programmer, maybe he is forking Bitcoin!

Monaco is getting their new visa cards out: https://twitter.com/monaco_card/status/930331621714051072 But why does the price fall?
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/monaco/
So, this is very interesting. While I don’t know the exact reason, it is likely a million and one different reasons after all, let me give you my insight into the matter. Imagine you’re a bag holder of Monaco coins, and no matter what price you sell for at currently, you’re up tons. You’ve got so much you couldn’t realistically sell it all for many years.
Yes, I know this is a rare scenario, but potentially more frequent than you think.
Now imagine that they were waiting for big news to come out, so the coin can pump and then they can offload a ton for a good price. The news drops but the market isn’t pumping so they decide to continue I might as well sell now.
This is one possible scenario of many.
https://www.cryptoninjas.net/2017/11/14/crypto-debit-card-monaco-partners-gemalto-high-end-metal-card/ But some of these cards are going to be metal ones, instead of plastic. Oooooo. Nice. I’m a sucker for something like that. Even though I can pay contactlessly on my phone, and my watch… For the bigger purchases then.

Hello & Cheers!! I'm a content detection and information bot. You are receiving this reply because a short link or links have been detected in your post/comment. The purpose of this message is to inform your readers and yourself about the use of and dangers of short links.

To the readers of the post: Short links are provided by url shortening services. The short links they provide can be useful in some cases. Generally their use is benign. But as with all useful tools there are dangers. Short links can be used to hide all sorts of things. Quite frequently they are used to hide referral links for instance. While not dangerous this can be deceptive. They can also be used to hide dangerous links such as links to phishing sites, sites loaded with malware, scam sites, etc. You should always be extremely cautious before clicking on one. If you don't know and trust the poster don't click. Even if you do you should still be cautious and wary of any site you are sent to. It's always better to visit the site directly and not through a short link.

To the author of the post: While short links may be useful on some sites they are not needed on steemit. You can use markdown to format your links such as this link to steemit. It's as simple as [steemit](https://steemit.com) Unlike short links this allows the reader to see where they are going by simply hovering over the link before they click on it.

This message was created by a bot. It is part of the ongoing fight against spam and phishing attacks on steemit. If you did not use short links in your post and feel you have received this message in error you can contact @fubar-bdhr on discord or @fubar.bdhr on steemit chat to report the issue.
