  • Newbies buying in at $3,500: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/7366ud/newbies_who_bought_bitcoin_3500_be_like/ That’s actually pretty scary. I’m glad I didn’t buy in at $3,500.
  • Haha I am not going to talk about this: https://twitter.com/Technom4ge/status/913553809334521857 Because I already have, ad nauseum. I’m not exactly sure what ad nauseum means, but it fits that scenario. You ever have that, where you don’t know the meaning of words, but you know it fits? Weird, right?
  • Japan is looking to move in on the void China has left in the market cap as far as I see it: https://bitsonline.com/japanese-exchanges-licenses/ Or is it Chinese migrating?
  • Are ICOs cancer? https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/735dub/lets_be_honest_icoscancer/ Majority of them, yeah. You need to be careful and make sure it’s solid. I can’t agree with blanket statements - there are always exceptions to the rule.
  • Andreas Antonopoulos talks about this in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=264&v=yfjgcI8xX3A Big fan of him and his thinking. In this video let me summarize the two points of views about this.
  • 1, ICOs and tokenization of products and services will completely revolutionize fund raising and venture capital by taking products global.
  • 2, 99% are crap. I agree, although I think that figure might be a little high, but I agree. But there’s an option 3. He talked about ICOs being and cognitive dissonance, meaning lack of agreement or harmony in this case between these 2 ideas. This is where option 3 comes in. If you are like me, and you check coinmarketcap, and you view all these different products and you see hundreds of millions of dollars in market cap each, and you learn why. This is a really hard concept to explain but, don’t look 5 years down the line, look 3 months. There are plenty of ICOs that would have made you a ton of money if you invested, and plenty where you would have lost money. If you don’t want the risk, you can buy Bitcoin and chill. Or those ISAs are waiting for you.
  • Like look at this: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/factom/ I said in a video a while ago this was a good buy, and it was at $17 at the time. Now that it’s at 18, or was at 15 a few days ago, would you tell me I was wrong? Excluding the fact that it hit $31? This type of thinking is so foreign to me. Don’t deal with absolutes, you’re not in a position to, be fluid. Be like water.
  • https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/735ne3/before_and_after_eth/ Never do eth. This was the guy that predicted that Ethereum would be more in market cap than Bitcoin, he was like, a 1/3rd right? Show me some more use cases of smart contracts please. Then I see more valuation. Although scaling is nice.
  • NEO is now on a Korean exchange: https://www.coinnest.co.kr/market-neo Currently selling for...? Its trading at average of 31,500 KRW which is about $26 USD. Bit disappointing for bag holders potentially, so far. Stay fluid.
  • South Korean ICO ban, is national only: https://mobile.twitter.com/CryptoKorean/status/913584176900771840 So no need to panic, will unlikely affect much. We can see a dip in Ethereum here: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/ but is already recovering. I wonder what is happening with ICON though, a superstar ICO based in South Korea. Checking out their Facebook page for updates results in little: https://www.facebook.com/helloicon maybe it won’t affect them, but maybe it will. Walton released a statement saying that future ICOs will be prohibited, but the currently existing and completed ICO projects in south Korea will not be affected: https://twitter.com/Waltonchain/status/913650771220037633
  • You know that argument that Bitcoin is unfair because of uneven coin distribution? https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html Here’s a website that tracks it. Long story short, it’s still better than pre-mined dollar coin.
  • DJ Khaled latest celebrity to promote an ICO:
Up until 1:46 Like Floyd Mayweather, he is promoting Centra card. I actually wish the best of success to these debit card companies offering payment with crypto, the space sorely needs it.

  • Sort:

It all depends on time frame.
If we look at 1 year, maybe 90% of todays ICOs will be considered trash.
Andreas looks at 10+ years I think, when 99.99% of todays coins will be dead.

We should look at both mid term (year) and long term (4+ years).
