Screen Australia Funding Documentary About Bitcoin

Screen Australia announced last month that it would be funding several documentaries, one of them focusing on cryptocurrency, with the company putting $2.7 million in funding for 14 new projects

The cryptocurrency-related documentary is titled: Cryptopia - Bitcoin, Blockchain, and the Future of the Internet. It is follow-up film by the same team that created the 2015 documentary Bitcoin: The End of Money As We Know It, of which the trailer you can see below -

Sally Caplan, the Head of Content at Screen Australia, offered this statement:

“Documentary continuously works as a platform to amplify marginalized voices and ideas, and there are a variety of stories in this slate from multicultural, transgender, and indigenous perspectives that will enrich and enlighten viewers.”
