[NEWS] Bitcoin Cash integration on Bitpanda

in #bitcoin7 years ago

I received today an email from Bitpanda:

Following the creation of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) last year, we announced that our customers would be credited with Bitcoin Cash at a 1:1 rate for the value of their Bitcoin, held in their Bitpanda wallet, at the time of 1st of August 2017, 3 pm UTC.
We have enabled this option in October 2017, when we offered our users the free opportunity to instantly withdraw or sell their BCH.
Due to the cancellation of the planned Segwit2x fork in November 2017, many people have turned to BCH instead. This results in a much higher demand for Bitcoin Cash. Therefore, at the end of December 2017, we have launched a full Bitcoin Cash support including a wallet service. Everything is running smoothly and we feel ready to announce the 5th fully integrated Coin on Bitpanda: BCH.
Thus, BCH can be bought and sold with all our usual integrated payment options or be stored safely in the personal BCH wallet, which can be found in your Bitpanda account.
Consequently, from now on BCH is also available offline at all Austrian post office branches via our Bitpanda To Go< service. Due to our cooperation with the Austrian Post, Bitpanda To Go allows our customers to buy five digital currencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash and now also Bitcoin Cash) from over 400 post offices and almost 1300 postal partners throughout Austria. All that’s needed, is the email associated with the Bitpanda wallet and the funds will be deposited automatically into the customers Bitpanda wallet.
For more information on Bitpanda To Go, or to find an authorised post office branch in your area, go here. Furthermore, the same applies to the integration of BCH into our Amazon.de service. Now BCH may also be used to purchase Amazon.de vouchers. Should there be any questions concerning buying and selling Bitcoin Cash via Bitpanda, please feel free to contact our support team at any time.
Kind regards from Vienna,
Team Bitpanda

Bitpanda (previously Coinimal) is a great service. It's worked very well for me so far. Can recommend.

It also worked for me. Though it is different to other exchanges, as you cannot place buy or sell limit orders, the only possibility is to buy or sell at the current price.

True it's not so much an exchange and more a *platform" to get started. It's more useful if you are turning currencies liquid, i.e. I use it to pay out some of my steemit earnings into fiat.
