Roger Ver: "Insider trading is not a crime"

Bitcoin.com CEO Roger Ver said that he does not consider insider trading on Coinbase a crime, and this should not lead to the regulation of crypto-exchanges.

In his interview, Ver said:

"I believe that insider trading is not a crime. After all, buyers are wary of any service they use; whether it's crypto-exchange, or it's a coffee shop. It does not depend on the government, it does not have to protect you from everything in the world."

In defense of the alleged insider trading at Coinbase, he added that trading Bitcoin Cash using internal information would help tame volatility.

Vera's words pour oil on the fire, which flared up because of rumors about the " unfair game " from Coinbase employees.

Not only Coinbase, but CNBC has become embroiled in a scandal involving Bitcoin Cash after in the segment of the show Fast Money appeared tweet, which seems to have coincided with the position of the role of faith in the Bitcoin Cash kriptorynke. In the comments to the tweet supporters of Bitcoin Cash stated that the message is biased and advertising.

Meanwhile, the CEO and co-founder of Coinbase, Brian Armstrong, published a blog post on December 20, which sets out a policy for his employees. In the message, Armstrong said that the platform is investigating the possibility of insider trading before launching the BCH and promises to take the necessary actions:

"If we find evidence that any employee or contractor has violated our policy, directly or indirectly, I will not hesitate to dismiss this employee immediately and file appropriate lawsuits."
