DAV Network is a transportation system protocol. The protocol lets people and autonomous vehicles engage with other people and other autonomous vehicles. DAV's functionality is to develop a single blockchain layer for the entire transportation market. DAV will function as the middle tier that will allow every transportation activity to become decentralized and tradable for a market-decided value. The utility if the blockchain allows DAV to tokenize the transport market's trade, to secure the transactions made and the data moved with those transactions, and to bring transparency to the value transfers in the transportation system.

DAV is a protocol that can create new decentralized transportation-related marketplaces and gives the blueprint for human-AV and AV-AV interction in a decentralized space. DAV tokens are the currency on the DAV Network and these will be used to prescribe a value to any transportion service being sold ot bought on the DAV Network.

1. DAV can reduce costs of transportation services by making them decentralized. DAV can help create fee-less applications for vehicle-hailing. DAV itself is creating the first example, an Uber-like app that has no service fee.

2. DAV can accelerate use of AVs. The protocol gives a blue-print for AV engagement in the existing transportation market. DAV acts as a layer upon thr current functioning transportation networks but allows for easy integration of AVs.

3. DAV makes it possible to attach a market-rate value to any transportation service. Instead of needing to guess price, the DAV Protocol will let the market decide the price of any transport depending on the underlying value.
