In the 1970s the United States faced rising inflation caused by an oil shock, rampant spending not offset by cuts, in the job markets. This inflation caused a huge dollar devaluation not seen in the history of the dollar. The only thing that was saving the dollar was the fact that it was in theory still convertible to gold at the “gold window” of the US Federal Reserve. Then in 1971, President Richard Nixon unilaterally ordered the cancellation of the direct convertibility of the U.S. dollar to gold. This has caused many dismay around the globe because of the dependancy on the dollar. Blockchain and cryptocurrency may be the worlds only hope to fix an ever lying issue with traditional financial systems.

PAX is a cryptocurrency that is bridging two major industries residential real estate and the blockchain to create a first of its kind company that is independent of government and politics that results in a compassionate capitalist investment model changing people’s lives. The Praetorian Group is creating the first ever sound cryptocurrency that will be backed by residential real estate in New York State. In cointelegraphs article they refer to The Praetorian Group, as a “Cryptocurrency Real Estate Investment Vehicle” or (CREIV). The group has filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on March 6 to register their $75 mln Initial Coin Offering (ICO) as a security offering. This is a huge step forward considering the SEC meeting in January that addressed issues with ICO's not registering with the committee.

If the SEC accepts their registration, the Praeotorian Group will hold the first ever SEC-registered ICO!
