June 14th Weekly Terracoin Update – Immediately
If your masternode is not enabled, then you need to immediately update your client to version 0.12.1.8!
We released this code some time ago. It included updated auxpow code to avoid the issues that have happened to the older versions of the daemon. It seems like only around 350 masternodes are running the current code, so if yours is not one of those then update immediately!
TheSin wrote this handy dandy script to make the process pretty much effortless. Login to your masternode then run the code below:
rm -f trc-updater; curl -O rm -f tr https://raw.githubusercontent.com/terracoin/terracoin/v0.12.2.x/trc-updater; sudo bash trc-updater
It will ask if you want to update your masternode. Type y. Hit enter then wait. Once it is done then go to your local wallet and start your masternode again.
If you are one of the people who updated their client when we first released 0.12.1.8 then you are getting bonus rewards until everyone else updates theirs.
Updating is always extremely important as each update corrects old code, can add new features and can increase security of the network.
We will be releasing another new version of the code very soon which will show if your masternode needs to be updated in the GUI and it will also be able to download the new versions directly from either the GUI or the masternode.
With this unexpected issue with the older versions the community has already reached out to all the exchanges to make sure they have updated their wallets.
Cryptopia has already updated, but we are not sure if all the other exchanges are. Until that time I wouldn’t try to send or receive from those exchanges.
I will keep posting updates as more info is forth coming about the other exchanges.
During this week we also have been testing the new wallet extensively, and I am really impressed with the work that TheSin has done.

It was more of a test of the concept this time, and the test worked great! We would like to do them bi-weekly via live streaming so if you are interested in joining keep an eye out for the date and time for the next one!
