How safe is your Bitcoin investment?

This report is of a cloud mining scheme that started in March and has now gone bust.
I read on Facebook about traders that are scammers taking our investing friends for rides for who knows how many $$$
We read reports of Ponzi schemes closing and the creators disappearing with investors’ money
So much of this nonsense going on!
So what can we do to try and protect our money? As always we are told, and you should always head this warning – never invest more than you can afford to lose.
