It's hard to say the future price of BTC but for the long term, I believe Bitcoin is a safe bet in terms of a way to store value. I believe in 2018, there will bea 'pruning' of altcoins and the 'survival of the fittest' rather than 2017 which saw a lot of random outcoins come into exisitence. I believe Bitcoin, through whatever market corrections are to come, will hold its value and will not just go down to zero.
