Twitter prohibits Virtual Currency Ads, Bitcoin Prices Increase
The price of virtual currency bitcoin dropped at least 7 percent on Monday (26/3/2018) local time. The cause is a wave of regulatory uncertainty over weeks and advertising bans by technology companies.
Quoting CNBC, Tuesday (27/3/2018), bitcoin traded at the level of nearly 7,886 US dollars or equivalent about Rp 108.3 million.based on Coinbase data, this position is much lower than the previous day's position.
Since the beginning of this year, bitcoin prices have plummeted more than 42 percent. At the beginning of 2018, bitcoin prices are still perched at the level of 13,000 US dollars.
On Monday, Twitter announced it would ban virtual currency advertising.this step has previously been done by Google and Facebook to prevent crime rates in initial coin issuance (ICO).
"The news related to the ban (advertisement) Twitter seems to be a significant contributor to the sell-off," said Timothy Tam, founder of the CoinFi platform.

Later, Google announced its financial service update update in March 2018. Google will ban virtual currency ads and related content starting June 2018.
