Cryptocurrency Crash- Is this the Big One
Red is the color of the day in coin markets cryptocurrency table ranking cryptos by their market capitalization. As of this writing only NEM, Tether and Komodo are in the green among the Top 50 crypto currency in the world. Now the question on anybody's mind is, "Is this the Big One? Is this it?" The short answer is who knows. This could be it or not. Goldman Sachs the bluest Investment Bank in the world seemed to predict this crash. News have been circulating in the web that Bitcoin could reach up to 5000 USD and then dropped back to 2900 USD. Is the prediction coming into fruition? Maybe, you see Bitcoin and the other cryptocurrencies arguably has no fundamental value. Assets defined by Robert KIyosaki simply are those things that put money in your pocket. Things like apartment or home rentals, money in bank that pays interest, stocks that pays dividend etc. If you consider Bitcoin as an asset, which I do, and further argue that there is no really solid base where you could extract its fundamental value. Bitcoin has no recurring income to based it from. All we are seeing is the market value of Bitcoin. Meaning its value is based on peoples emotions on how they feel and perceived Bitcoins inherent value via the Economics Law of Supply and Demand. So If value is emotions driven, then it is fickle just like how the emotions of every human being is. It gyrates from fear on loss or the exuberance of a winning trade. Having said that, I feel this supposedly crash is due to nothing but this phenomenon. The fear of losing was compounded by the news in China that they are going to clamp down on ICOs. Put that all together, jittery investors, Goldman Sachs predictions, China clamping down on ICOs and the result you get is RED Sunday bloody Sunday (by U2). Now if this is so, the next question would be " How to trade this market?" Well since no one can predict the bottom, a strategy of tempered buying of your favorite cryptocurrency is in the offing. For me. I'm buying when prices dropped 5% down from my last buy. This way I could stretch my finite cash and spread out my buying if prices continue to fall. Do watch out for the Goldman Sachs predicted bottom of 2900 USD on the Bitcoin, Do your massive buys near this price. Until then lets watch the market and react intelligently.
