Bitcoin miners show their intent to signal for Segwit + 2mb blocks
There has been a lot of fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD) leading up to now, caused by the Bitcoin miners' inability to reach a consensus on how to scale. However, after the idea of implementing Segregated witness now, and upgrading to 2mb blocks later on was approved, we now see that the Bitcoin miners seem to be reaching an agreement.
Looking at https://coin.dance/blocks , we see that support of Segwit + 2mb blocks (Segwit2x) is at over 75% of the hashing power today, meaning that a majority of miners support it. This should ensure that by August 1, there is no hard fork, and we can only hope that the miners stick to their promise.
