Let me tell you about a friend who went 2 million dollars into debt during the subprime mortgage crisis. He didn't commit suicide. He let his finances commit suicide while he figured out a way for himself to move on. Sure he lost his house, but he didn't lose his will. He's doing alright now, living more simply, enjoying life and frankly having fun and having a great story to tell about what it's like bouncing back after a major series of mistakes. Suicide prevents you from telling your come back story. Don't do that to the people who really need to hear that story.

It's not supposed to be comforting. It's supposed to be a kick in the ass to get you to challenge yourself.

10 years ago I got divorced, lost my job, lost my credit, lost my home and had to squat in houses for a while just to make it by - and all of that happened in a 6 month window. Now I have a wife, son, beautiful house near the beach, 2 cars, travel and make 6 figures working from home because I decided that my divorce was not going to be the thing I let be the excuse for failing the rest of my life. The choice is yours.
