  • Consensus 2018 held in New York was far and away the best and the biggest blockchain and cryptocurrency event of the year.

  • The conference in New York is a three-day event focused on the crypto currency and the blockchain industry. As far as the conference was concerned, the outside Lamborghini were also spoken, although they later appeared to be rented.

  • According to CoinDesk's main company, Digital Currency Group CEO and Founder Barry Silbert, Consensus 2018 had about 8,500 people. CoinDesk sold every ticket for $ 2,000 and last minute acceptance was fixed at $ 3,000. When you do a little math, you realize that your organizer has earned at least $ 17 million in ticket sales.

Now let's talk about the important things in Consensus 2018,

  • Gemini Exchange announces new cryptocurrencies

The event began with the statement that Gemini would add Zcash, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin. It was the first licensed cypto exchange listing Zcash, and this news can make Zcash more reliable.

  • New York will be the central city of blockchain

James Patchett, CEO of the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), announced it during the opening day of Consensus, saying:

We are a global leader in finance, media and technology. All industries are seeing incredible innovations from this new blockchain technology. The city is aware and focused on how the industry can grow and create great opportunities for New Yorkers.

  • Parody Protestors

The event hosted a large number of protesters, but one parody outside the conference hall, which attracted many people's attention.

The protest was staged by individuals who identified themselves as members of the movement dubbed “Bankers Against Bitcoin.”. Ironically, the group was criticizing the banks. It is stated that their main purpose is to show that Blockchain technology is inevitable.

  • ConsenSys partnership with Amazon Web Services

On Tuesday, Amazon Web Service announced that they would form a business alliance on a second project called "Kaledio" that aims to speed up the institutional blockchain with ConsenSys.

We closely follow Ethereum as it has been discovered by many of our customers, especially for institutional use cases. Working with ConsenSys will help us to better understand our customers' needs and accelerate their block chaining efforts

  • Everything in the event was not happy, of course,

  • Debate of two famous figures

Ethereum-based venture ConsenSys founder Joe Lubin, and the investor Blockchain Capital Jimmy Song had an interesting debate.

  • Vitalik Buterin protested CoinDesk

While many experts, investors and high-profile crypto money personality activity think that this event will influence the markets positively, some think that it is the opposite. Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum's founding partner, is one of them.

Buterin was bittered about the prices of the ticket before the event, stating:

I refuse to personally contribute to that level of rent-seeking.
