Bitcoin Moon Shot... When?

People in the crypto-sphere often talk about when bitcoin will moonshot.

However, we are very premature to talk about moonshot... or are we?

We are at the beginning of the adoption phase. Right now, about 1% of the people even own any cryptos. In the near future, it will be 99% of the people owning and using cryptos.

Crypto currencies are just that much better than fiat money.
And with all the financial turmoil heading our way:

• bank closures / failures.
• bank runs
• shifting away from the petrodollar
• bond yield implosions.
• stock market crashes
• govern-cement seizures.

Everyone is going to be looking for a safe harbor, and crypto currencies are going to be a shining beacon.

I could enumerate all the benefits of cryptos over bank notes, but i am sure, since you are on steem, that you know these. So, your questions is still, when moonshot?

Well, we are probably still 10 years away from getting to 90% adoption.
However, in 10 years, we will probably be past Mars, heading towards Jupiter.

We will most likely pass the moon this year.
Bitcoin will pass $100,000 in 2019.

And if everything stayed "normal", we would see bitcoin crash back down to $10,000, and spring back to $1,000,000. And in ten years, a bitcoin would be worth a billion (with a B) dollars each.

However, i don't expect things to stay normal. I expect the currency markets to explode. I expect the stock and bond markets to implode. And so, i see a lot of people trying to get on the bitcoin rocket. I expect that either this time, or next time, that bitcoin won't crash down, but instead the dollar will hyperinflate. (if next time, it will super-hyper-inflate)

If you can sit on your stash. Such as you have reserves and food that can get you through the rough seas, then everyone on steem will be millionaires. You could basically buy anything that is buyable. Although there will be so much that won't be for sale.

So, bitcoin is not really going to moonshot. The ground is going to fall out from under everyone. And those, not holding cryptos will be falling with it. Just owning cryptos will put you way above everyone else, however, you and i, will have to rewire our brains as nothing will have a nice price in dollars any more. Everything will basically be barter, and the price will be negotiated in bitcoin.
