Steemit transactions are so unbelievably fast

After having done most of my transactions in Bitcoin I'm used to having slow transactions with high cost but after sending my first STEEM transaction I was amazed at the speed of the transaction. Within 15 seconds the STEEM was in my wallet ready to go. No need for confirmations or anything, and all at a fraction of the price of bitcoin transactions. I don't know how fast this is compared to other currencies but comparing to to Bitcoin is like night and day!
