Brobot Newsletter — Q4 ’17 Updates!

Thank you all for your continuous and valuable feedback throughout the last milestones of our project. The first month of Q4 comes with vital improvements that get us a step closer to our final quest — making your cryptocurrency trading experience as effortless and complete as possible.

Our growing community is the engine of our work. While within our team listening to the needs of our users has become the norm, personal, convenient and fully integrated across all channels have been unanimously recognised and embraced as the pillars of our product.

But it is already such a great product. What could be changed?

Find out below what the latest features are and what other additions are currently being worked on.

1. News commands template

Not only does the chat bot understand the news command (e.g. bitcoin news) and will offer you the latest pieces on the chosen coin, but the format of delivery has been completely revamped. While Facebook showcases the last 5 articles of choice in a nice Slider, Slack and Telegram vary according to the environment’s capabilities. Which one do you prefer?

1. Extending the Wallet and info commands

The coin info commands (ex btc info) and your wallet command (wallet) now return a lot more interesting information, like the total worth of your portfolio in USD and its 24h percentage and absolute value change. We have also added a new quicker command called wallet head (or wally for short) with which you can get just the aggregated info of your wallet, for a faster overview of how your coins are doing every day.

1. Facebook chat wizards

Persistent menus have been added to the Facebook chat bot, which make the interaction with your personal broker easier. For basic tasks, there is no need to type in commands anymore (of course it is possible) and the UI differences make for a dramatic change. Thoughts?
News on public channels are now pushed with a fixed frequency across Twitter, Reddit and our Facebook timeline, on top of the regular Facebook Messenger, Slack and Telegram notifications. No matter where you are in this world, you will be able to see the top picks 8 times a day.

1. Public signals

In an effort to accustom all categories of users, public signals our robots deem relevant are now pushed to all public channels, including Twitter, Reddit and our Facebook timeline. This feature is experimental and will be dealt with accordingly.

1. News sources

Following intensive research and proofing efforts of new news streams, the pool of news sources has now been extended significantly.

1. Now supporting Bitfinex credentials

You can now sync your Bitfinex account to Brobot, in addition to Bittrex, Poloniex and Kraken. We currently support only the Bitfinex API v2. As with the other exchanges, keep in mind to add read-only keys to keep you mind (and ours) safer

All in all, we are seeing this product grow to meet the needs of experts, enthusiasts, hobbyists and beginners alike. Moving on to the next milestones, the next step is improving the Market Signals.

While we’ve seen a great performance of the Market Signals and Tips (high accuracy, real-time reactions, balanced time frames) our algorithms already forge for you, there is always room for improvement. Currently, brobot.tech’s developers are busy perfecting new algorithms able to trace social sentiments related to specific coins and predict market movements accordingly.

Take our current capabilities and combine them with the power social media has over coins’ fluctuations (oh, yes! you guys have a lot of power) and here you are — an objective, real-time, high-accuracy prediction, backed by facts and a nice little presentation.

TL;DR: better Market Signals and Tips will be powered by Sentiment Analyses performed on social media on top of the existing algo’s.
