Jamie Dimon: "I Regret Calling Bitcoin A Fraud
Less than four months after Jamie Dimon lashed out at bitcoin, warning that it was would "eventually blow up" because it was "worse than tulip bulbs" and that "any trader trading bitcoin" will be "fired for being stupid", the JPMorgan CEO said he "regrets" his infamous criticism of bitcoin, in which he called the cryptocurrency a "fraud."
In an interview with FOX Business' Maria Bartiromo, Dimon repented, softening the comments he made in a September banking conference, saying "I regret making them."
While Dimon said that he personally is still "not interested in the subject at all" he conceded that blockchain "is real." Dimon also softened his tone on initial coin offerings, saying that ICOs need to be reviewed “individually”.
"The blockchain is real. You can have crypto yen and dollars and stuff like that. ICO's you have to look at individually", Dimon told Bartiromo.
"The bitcoin to me was always what the governments are gonna feel about bitcoin as it gets really big, and I just have a different opinion than other people. I'm not interested that much in the subject at all."
Until today's recantation, Dimon was one of the highest-profile bitcoin skeptics on Wall Street. His remarks in September were met with anger from many in the cryptocurrencies community, but also echoed by other top executives, including Larry Fink, chairman and chief executive of BlackRock.
Since then, the acceptance of bitcoin has moved to the institutional arena with both the cboe and CME launching bitcoin futures, while Goldman is preparing a cryptocurrency trading desk. It was only a matter of time before Dimon realized all the potential lost revenue, and rushed back in to avoid losing even more market share.

Let me guess, he changed his view after secretly acquiring a few million $$ worth of bitcoin back in September. Won't that be a treat when that trade shows up on his holdings disclosure forms.
I wouldn't doubt it. After all, these guys can pretty much print money out of thin air.

Ayer estuve en un entrenamiento certificado de Criptomonedas y minado de Bitcoin, y es increíble la usabilidad y lo grande de esta tecnología. A mas de 9 años de su creación, Bitcoin aún tiene sus detractores, que como este señor, busca difamarlo. Si la Blockchain no funciona, ¿Cómo es que hay tantas personas viviendo de ella? De manera que es muy probable que este señor, después de invertir en Bitcoin y hoy tenga los resultados que ve en su billetera, cambie drásticamente su punto de vista sin importar el bochorno que pudo haber pasado. Hoy más que nunca estoy seguro que Bitcoin revolucionó por completo todo el mundo digital, tanto así, que el gobierno venezolano ha decidido lanzar su propia criptomoneda para mejorar la economía que tiene, debido a las malas políticas aplicadas durante mas de 18 años. Me siento feliz por haber decidido tomar el curso que ha sido para mí, un mundo basto y nuevo por descubrir y que transformará indudablemente, la abundancia de muchos en el planeta.

Voy a necesita equipos y sobre todo capitalizarme para la adquicisión de los equipos. La electricidad es tan barata como la gasolina. Un litro de gasolina cuesta 0.5 shatoshi, tal vez menos :) De hecho, mucha gente no paga el recibo de servicio electrico, ni agua ni gas doméstico.

En Venezuela, se ha implementado el uso de una criptomoneda venezolana llamada Petro, como una alternativa para contrarrestar la grave crisis económica por la que actualmente estamos atravesando. Muchos difaman pero es mayor la cantidad de personas que se benefician de este modelo de negocios. Buen post, estimado @brimax

What a joker, you cant really trust this man, he probably hoard plenty of bitcoins now and then say this kinda stuff.
You are probably correct.
I think he is expressing his vision or his assessment that it would not work out, but think about it that if 5% it won't work out then what will happen. its trading and anything can happen
