For those of you that may not remember, coinpot.co is the website used to claim from certain faucets instantly. It replaced XAPO as Moonbitco's new partner 'insta-wallet'.

Coinpot.co not only has support for 5 coins, but it also utilizes [with the wallet users express permission of course] Coin Have; an in-browser Monero [$XMR] miner made from javascript that users can access and use to make a little passive scratch.

If you wanna test it out, feel free to try out the embedded version on this old brains1cktv blog, or directly here [you can use this direct link to mine with multiple devices. I used my iphone last night!]

Steps for in-browser crypto-mining:

Bitcoin core, Bitcoin cash, DASH, Litecoin and Doge
via Coinpot.co

⬡1 Register an account with https://coinpot.co

⏣2 Confirm your email address by clicking on the verification link coinpot.co will send immediately after signing up

⬢3 Sign in to your new coinpot account

⬡4 Choose the coin you'd like to browser mine

n: Technically, you aren't mining any one of the five coinpot.co supported cryptos. You are mining XMR via a coinhive application

⏣5 Open the coin's drop-menu and click "mine crypto"

Drop menu looks kinda like this → [View Bitcoin Core Summary][▼]

**⬢6 Choose the [Mine Bitcoin Core] option

A new tab should open up with controls for
CPU usage →→ Set to medium if you are concurrently going to be using the pc / high or very high while afk
& Number of threads →→ See what your computer likes best.

This just means how many hashes it will try to solve simultaneously. Some computers/devices work better at this than others.

▌≡TIP≡▐ While using the same browser, I typically set the mining tab in a separate window. It feels like it helps, but I really haven't tried testing it yet.

Now that you have a coinpot account:

Hello & Cheers!! I'm a content detection and information bot. You are receiving this reply because a short link or links have been detected in your post/comment. The purpose of this message is to inform your readers and yourself about the use of and dangers of short links.

To the readers of the post: Short links are provided by url shortening services. The short links they provide can be useful in some cases. Generally their use is benign. But as with all useful tools there are dangers. Short links can be used to hide all sorts of things. Quite frequently they are used to hide referral links for instance. While not dangerous this can be deceptive. They can also be used to hide dangerous links such as links to phishing sites, sites loaded with malware, scam sites, etc. You should always be extremely cautious before clicking on one. If you don't know and trust the poster don't click. Even if you do you should still be cautious and wary of any site you are sent to. It's always better to visit the site directly and not through a short link.

To the author of the post: While short links may be useful on some sites they are not needed on steemit. You can use markdown to format your links such as this link to steemit. It's as simple as [steemit](https://steemit.com) Unlike short links this allows the reader to see where they are going by simply hovering over the link before they click on it.

This message was created by a bot. It is part of the ongoing fight against spam and phishing attacks on steemit. If you did not use short links in your post and feel you have received this message in error you can contact @fubar-bdhr on discord or @fubar.bdhr on steemit chat to report the issue.
