Welcome to Bitwhat? at Steemit
Hello, welcome to BitWhat? at Steemit.
Whilst I'm working on my new Bitcoin/ Block chain For Beginners website I thought it would be a good idea to include some of the useful videos and links I'm discovering as I venture in to the world of Bitcoins/ Digital Currencies and Blockchain Technology.
My name's Susan and I live in London in the UK. I'm a Knitting Instructor by day and a (very) Amateur Crypto Trader by night.
I first heard about Bitcoins over 6 years ago but it was my Brother bringing up the topic during a recent family dinner that piqued my current interest, and my quest for further knowledge has been relentless ever since.
What is Bitcoin? What is BlockChain Technology? What's all the Ho Ha about The Silk Road Website and the The Mt.Gox Exchange? Is Bitcoin for Criminals and what the heck is Fiat Currency????? These are just a few of the questions I wanted answers to and have managed to find out since.
I decided to start a website as I realised that I wasn't the only person asking these questions and with my good old Wordpress skills (which I knew would come in handy one day ), and I like to think my ability to separate the wheat from the chaff (there's a lot of seriously rubbish information out there!), BitWhat.org is now in it's gestation period.
My aim is to help people gain a better understanding of what crypto currencies are, the technology behind them and the industries growing up around them.
I'm not the world's greatest writer and I'm not out to re-invent the wheel, if it's been said or I feel someone can say it better than I can, then I'm happy to point you in their direction. Expect to find lots of links and lots of videos. I'll be putting my two cents in as-and-when necessary, and I feel I should share with you the rookie mistakes I'm making as I'm learning how to trade cryptocurrencies - thank goodness for Bullish markets! If you dont know what that means, watch this space!
I hope you find something of interest on this blog. It's my humble opinion that Blockchain technology is going to revolutionise the world and being a part of it, be it a tincy, wincy part gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.
Don't forget to follow, upvote and recommend it you find any of the information of use.
Happy reading.
Susan
P.S Whilst I'm at it I thought I'd introduce you to the Coindesk 101 information page. Coindesk is one of the world leaders in Bitcoin news. Their BlockChain 101 information sections on 'what is Bitcoin' is one of the best guides I've come across. If you know of any other exceptional guides or videos, please add the name or link in the comment section.
