If you were holding Bitcoin at the time of the Bitcoin Gold Fork (Tuesday, October 24th 2017, Block 491460) then you will get a 1:1 ratio of Bitcoin Gold. NOTE: use this guide at your own RISK. Thanks for your great posts. Just a note to some Ledger Nano S users trying to claim and move their BTG. Sometimes it will not shift and will give an error message. All the standard fixes do not seem to work; however, after having being stuck in this situation with one account, I found out that you may need to select Custom Fees when trying to move the stubborn BTG. Gradually increase the number of Satoshis being paid until you get success. I think the issue is actually related to Ledger Nano S accounts that may have very small amounts deposited (say from Mining) - basically it costs more to shift "dust" than that charged for accounts with more substantial and lower number of deposits. Either way this worked for me.
