I look at exchanging cryptocurrency much like I do going to a blackjack table. Once I buy I write that money off in my head as an entertainment expense. Anyone that calls cryptocurrency an investment is fooling themselves.
For something to be an investment it needs to have a guarantee or a reasonably high chance of a return. With crypto the value is completely speculative and I think people need to acknowledge that.
