Biggest Bitcoin wallet provider Blockchain.info adds support for Ethereum @BlockRush
Blockchain.info is the biggest provider of Bitcoin wallets and has now added support for Ethereum. Since its launch in 2011, this is the first time that Blockchain.info is adding support for a new cryptocurrency.
Blockchain.info has also partnered with ShapeShift to allow users to exchange their Bitcoin to Ether seamlessly in their wallet applications without involving any third-party.
CEO Peter Smith had this to say;
"As popularity of ethereum has grown, so has the desire from our customers to have the option to manage multiple digital assets within their blockchain wallets. We are thrilled to introduce this new functionality to our community and will continue to find ways to make interacting with digital assets even easier."
Blockchain recently raised $40m from venture capitalists including Google and Virgin and with this move Blockchain follows the steps of Coin Base which added support for Ether as well as other crypto-currencies for some time now.
