They also desire more economic freedom.

Its not to be unexpected, cryptos in general has had a great leap this past few months, people are bound to notice, not to mention the fact that nigerians populate many crypto enlightened countries. These ideas would easily be carried bck home. Steemitnon its own is also enlightening more nigerians to cryptos as can be seen from the recent stats.
Yes indeed steemit has brought about a sort of revolution to the average Nigerian, bitcoin use rise is no surprise at all.

True, nigeria currency need and overhue change...we need to legalise bitcoin as means of exchange like other countries in the world...
Bitcoin isnt illegal in nigeria, it isnt also an official currency in many places, including the US, its just an acceptable currency, we have shopnow.ng using bitcoin and some other places in Nigeria, nairaex, luno etc etc.
