BitDegree CEO Andrius Putna has become a member of the Enterprise Etherium Alliance (EEA), and the Bitcoin Foundation (BF).

The EEA is dedicated to advancing the use of Ethereum-based blockchain technologies in big business, and establishing a robust governance model and standards for open source technologies.

Meanwhile, the Bitcoin Foundation was created to form best practice standards surrounding the promotion and use of the Bitcoin cryptocurrency. Like BitDegree, it is also dedicated to eliminating inequality in the fields of education and finance through blockchain.

The idea to join both organisations came from BitDegree’s pledge to be transparent in its activities, and to work in accordance with best practices.

“Being part of the EEA and the Bitcoin Foundation is the next logical step in establishing and strengthering our platform,” explained Putna. “Working with blockchain already gives our students and course creators a level of transparency.

“However, joining the EEA and Bitcoin Foundation gives us the opportunity to learn best practices from international companies who are using and promoting the use of blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies in their operations."

“Moreover, being able to participate in events set up by both organisations will provide BitDegree with the opportunity to engage with the crypto community on a deeper level.”

BitDegree’s token sale will begin on December 1st, 2017.
