One caveat, Satoshi Nakamoto would have a huge sway in perceived power. If he came back and offered his opinion on say the block dispute, he could perhaps seriously sway one side over the other. The greatest thing he did was to have all that power and walk away to let it grow without him influencing the system, over the miners and users.
