The noise is deafening. I'm finally down to 8 coins that I've done my homework on and am holding. I'm tempted to just not even look at my portfolio for a couple months or so. Second guessing myself and trading on hype has hurt me in the past.
Hold BTC and forget about it. In the Youtube comments and chat for my video there were people pumping up all sorts of Alts during and after my video. I assume they did not catch the irony or more likely they probably were not listening to a word I said- typical for the 80%.
I'm at 50% BTC and 50% alts. My alts jumped 20% today and BTC was mostly flat. I know that's just one day but diversifying has been good for me so far.
Long term is is a horrifying mistake.

Great Hanukkah story really made me think about how we compromise on our ideals. About the Bitclub Network they are big scam, I put in 0.129 bitcoin in there buying the lowest share, they started by paying 0.0002 BTC per day. Now currently I am getting 0.00013 BTC per day a straight 33% reduction at this rate I wont even get the bitcoin I invested. Also they have an option of purchasing partial shares with our daily earnings, I initially opted for this, I was issued a partial share at the rate of 10000$ per bitcoin when at same time bitcoin price was 15000$. I questioned them about this they are not even responding. Shills like Jeff Berwick are pumping these scams alongwith Dash. I had a few friends who wanted to join Bitclub, if they joined i would have made money via reference but i told them not to do so. Its a pyramid scheme I lost some fraction of Bitcoins but my friends respect me for guiding them, dont know when the scamsters like Berwick would get this into their ideals, I see this as an learning and I learned it the hard way. Really we need to stick to our convictions ans stay away from shills like Berwick, Matisyahu Zindabad.
I am glad you learned your Bitclub lesson. Too bad so many others do not realize what a joke of a program that is. I give you much credit for making sure your friends don't get involved. It is shame that some Internet personalities are so irresponsible and lead people away from the easy and correct way of life in crypto which is just holding your Bitcoin and doing NOTHING with your BTC stash.
